The SA.330 Puma, a versatile and powerful medium-lift helicopter, was a significant addition to the Sud Aviation fleet, showcasing advanced design and technology. At the airshow, F-ZWWR, with its original registration, is marked with the airshow serial number 350. Its companion helicopter, F-ZWWT, bears the serial number 309. This image offers a glimpse into the early days of the Puma's history, as it was still undergoing testing and experimental flights. French civil registrations for experimental aircraft and flight testing began with the F-Z series. Once certification or completion of testing was achieved, the registration would be changed to the F-A or F-B series. The Sud Aviation SA.330 Puma underwent rigorous testing to ensure its capabilities met the highest standards of aeronautical engineering. This photograph captures the essence of innovation and progress in the field of aviation. The Puma helicopters, with their sleek design and advanced features, represent the pinnacle of flying machines during this era. The Paris Air Show provided the perfect platform to showcase these marvels of engineering to the world, inspiring awe and admiration from all who attended.
