The Princess, born in 1853, was the eldest daughter of Tsar Alexander II of Russia and Empress Maria Feodorovna. Her marriage to the Duke of Edinburgh, the second son of Queen Victoria, took place on January 27, 1874, at the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Princess's elegant wedding gown, featuring a high collar and long sleeves, is adorned with intricate lace and pearls, reflecting the opulence and grandeur of the Victorian era. Her hair is styled in an elaborate updo, adorned with a diadem and a veil that cascades down her back.
