This stunning print showcases a page from the "Regiment de la Cosa Publica" (Regiment of the Public Thing), a seminal work by the 14th-century Catalan writer Francesc Eiximenis. The text, written in Catalan, is a political treatise that outlines the organization and governance of the public realm, emphasizing the importance of the common good and the role of the community in the administration of justice. The incunabular manuscript, one of the earliest printed books in Europe, was produced in Valencia around 1473.
