EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print titled "The Business of Dying" by Michael Bilotta, we are transported into a surreal world where imagination takes flight. The image features a cable car suspended in mid-air, surrounded by majestic mountains that seem to stretch endlessly into the horizon. A creative edit adds an ethereal touch to the scene, enhancing its dreamlike quality. At first glance, our attention is drawn to a mysterious figure standing behind the cable car. Clad in a hat and leaning on a cane or stick, he exudes an air of anonymity and intrigue. His presence suggests that this journey is not just about physical exploration but also delving deep within oneself. The juxtaposition of the man against the vastness of nature invites contemplation about life's transience and our place in it. As viewers, we find ourselves pondering what lies beyond those mountains – perhaps symbolic representations of challenges or unknown territories awaiting us. Bilotta's masterful use of surrealism sparks our imagination as we embark on this enigmatic voyage with him. Through his lens, he encourages us to explore realms beyond reality and embrace the fantastical possibilities that lie within our minds. "The Business of Dying" serves as a reminder that life itself is an extraordinary journey filled with unexpected twists and turns. It urges us to embrace curiosity and tap into our own creativity as we navigate through both known and uncharted territories alike.
