EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the mesmerizing sight of people snorkeling around the shipwreck of the "Omeo". The "Omeo" was a majestic iron-framed four-masted clinker-built barque, with a rich history that dates back to its construction in Newcastle, England in 1858. Tragically, on September 11th, 1905, this magnificent vessel succumbed to a fierce gale while anchored in Cockburn Sound and was swept ashore. In this image, we witness the beauty of nature reclaiming what was once man-made. The crystal-clear waters surrounding the shipwreck provide an enchanting backdrop for adventurous souls exploring beneath the surface. As they swim gracefully through these underwater depths, surrounded by vibrant marine life and coral reefs, their sense of awe is palpable. Located off Coogee Beach in Perth Australia's Western coast, this hauntingly beautiful scene serves as both a reminder of history and an invitation for exploration. From high above—captured from a drone's perspective—we can appreciate how small we are compared to nature's grandeur. The tranquility exuded by this tranquil scene evokes feelings of serenity and wonderment. It reminds us that even amidst destruction lies immense beauty waiting to be discovered. Robbie Goodall has skillfully captured not only an adventure but also an appreciation for our planet's mysteries hidden beneath its vast oceans
