Cleaning up some ancient (~2008) files recently I stumbled upon this photograph, taken with a compact on the beach in Warrnambool, Victoria.Crouching down, I held the camera very low to the shifting, wet sand. As a wave rushed in I took a quick shot and at the last second lifted the camera out of the way. Over the course of the few weeks I was there, I took many similar photographs.This was one of my favourite at the time, less because of any photographic achievement and more because it reminded me of the exhilarating moment it was captured.
