These prints were originally hand-colored and appeared in the second series of the Journal of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. On the left side (Pl. 12), we are introduced to a stunning Tawny-bellied Screech Owl (Ephialtes Watsonii) alongside a White-fronted Scops Owl (Ephialtes Sagittatus).
