Created around 1698, this painting is housed in the prestigious Musee Pouchkine in Moscow. The artwork depicts a scene from Greek mythology, where nymphs disarm mischievous cupids. Crespi's skillful use of color brings life to this mythological tale. The vibrant hues and delicate brushstrokes transport viewers to a world filled with love and enchantment. The composition captures the essence of the seicento period, showcasing Crespi's mastery as an artist. In this painting, we witness a playful interaction between women and cupid figures.
