This primate species inhabits tropical forests of East and Central Africa, where it lives in groups of 10-40 individuals. As a diurnal arboreal dweller, the Blue Monkey, known in French as "Moustac" (Cercopithecus mitis), feeds primarily on fruits, supplemented with leaves, seeds and occasionally insects.
