This small primate is native to the rainforests of South America, where it lives in large groups and feeds on fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. The monkey shown in the image, referred to in the French original as "Sajou à pieds dorés", is sitting on a branch and demonstrates the long tail and characteristic posture typical for this species.
