Fern-case or Wardian case. Upper part of glass in iron frame, painted in white and gold, with tall central dome topped with spike and interior lined with grey gravel. Lower stand of cherrywood, four legs with X-shaped stretcher and two straight stretchers, all decorated with painted motifs.
