EDITORS COMMENTS
This print transports us to the past, where an old windmill stands proudly amidst the agricultural fields of Bocairent in Spain. The windmill, once used to draw water from a well for agriculture, now serves as a reminder of the rich history and traditions of this rural scene. Underneath a starry night sky, this magnificent structure takes on a mystical aura. Its weathered walls and rustic charm are beautifully juxtaposed against the modern wind turbines that dot the landscape nearby. A small hut and irrigation equipment complete this picturesque setting. As we gaze at this photograph by Jose A. Bernat Bacete, we can't help but marvel at the beauty in nature's design. The star-shaped constellation above seems to mirror the intricate workings of both man-made and natural elements within this scene. The architectural details of the windmill showcase its American style while paying homage to traditional Spanish craftsmanship. It stands as a testament to human ingenuity and our ability to harness nature's power through wind energy. In capturing this moment with his lens, Bacete invites us to appreciate not only the aesthetic appeal but also reflect on how agriculture has shaped communities throughout history. This print is more than just an image; it is a window into another time - one filled with hard work, innovation, and harmony between man and nature.
