Anthony Trollope, writer, 1878. Trollope was one of the greatest Victorian novelists. He gained his reputation through a series of novels set in the fictional county of Barsetshire. These books include, The Warden, (1855), Barchester Towers, (1857) and The Last Chronicle of Barset, (1867). A second series of novels, set against a political background, includes Phineas Finn, (1869) and The Eustace Diamonds, (1873). From Men of Mark: a gallery of contemporary portraits of men distinguished in the Senate, the Church, in science, literature and art, the army, navy, law, medicine, etc. Photographed from life by Lock and Whitfield, with brief biographical notices by Thompson Cooper. Framed and mounted 9x7 print. Professionally handmade full timber moulded frames are finished off with framers tape and come with a hanging solution on the back. Outer dimensions are 13.5x11.5 inches (34x29cm). Quality timber frame frame moulding (20mm wide and 30mm deep) with frame colours in your choice of black, white, or raw oak and a choice of black or white card mounts. Frames have a perspex front providing a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish which is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
