The fair is for horses and farming stock of all kinds; this portion occupying the foreground of the view; and the upper ground, on the other side of the road to Northampton, being appropriated to the pleasure fair...Here is a vast assemblage of booths, shows, and countless amusements for children of all growth...The site of that, which we here illustrate, will, however, soon be traversed by a railway; but, we trust, the old English festival will lose none of its attractions by being held in another place.
