Framed and mounted 17x12 print. Professionally handmade full timber moulded frames are finished off with framers tape and come with a hanging solution on the back. Outer dimensions are 21.5x17.5 inches (546x444mm). Quality timber frame frame moulding (20mm wide and 30mm deep) with frame colours in your choice of black, white, or raw oak and a choice of black or white card mounts. Frames have a perspex front providing a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish which is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

The first engine, adorned with red bodywork and brass fittings, is a steam pump appliance. The steam engine, housed within the body of the engine, would generate the power necessary to pump water from hydrants or other water sources to extinguish fires. Horses, connected to the wheels via harnesses, provided the necessary traction and mobility to transport the engine to the scene of the emergency. The second model, also a horse-drawn appliance, is a hand-drawn hose reel. This essential piece of equipment allowed firefighters to quickly and efficiently lay out lengths of hose to reach distant fires or to create a water supply for the steam pump engine.
