Blavatsky's stern and unwavering stare, as if gazing into the depths of the universe, is a testament to her unwavering commitment to her spiritual beliefs and the societal movement she helped establish. Born in Russia, Blavatsky traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia, claiming to have encountered various spiritual masters and teachers along the way. She arrived in New York City in 1873, bringing with her the teachings of Theosophy, a spiritual philosophy that emphasizes the unity of all things and the potential for individual spiritual growth.
