Maxine Elliott (1868 - 1940), American actress, reputed lover of J. P. Morgan and later, the New Zealand tennis player, Anthony Wilding who was killed in 1915. Pictured in costume, impersonating Britannia at the Great Liberty Loan Tableaux, staged in New York and featuring a number of well-known actresses including Irene Castle, Ethel Barrymore and Billie Burke. The tableaux was arranged by the American artist, Ben Ali Haggin. Date: 1918
