On the hallowed grounds of Westminster Abbey, on the 28th of February, 1922, the marriage of Princess Mary, the only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary, took place. Princess Mary, who would later be known as the Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood, exchanged vows with Henry, Viscount Lascelles, later the 6th Earl of Harewood. In this beautiful photograph, Lord Lascelles places the wedding ring on the Princess's finger, as the Archbishop of Canterbury, Randall Davidson, looks on approvingly.
