The Prins Willem, named after Prince William II of Orange, was built in Amsterdam in 1651 and was part of the Dutch East India Company's fleet. This model, now housed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, offers a fascinating glimpse into the interior of a Dutch East Indiaman during the modern age. The intricately carved and painted details of the model reveal the ship's elegant design and the advanced technology of the time.
