EDITORS COMMENTS
"This exquisite portrait captures H.R.H. Princess Paul of Yugoslavia, the consort of the Regent of Yugoslavia, in a moment of regal elegance. The former Princess Olga, elder daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and sister of H.R.H. the Duchess of Kent, was married to Prince Paul in 1923. In 1934, following the assassination of King Alexander in Marseilles, Prince Paul was appointed Regent during the minority of the young King Peter. In this stunning image, Princess Paul is depicted wearing a beautiful crown adorned with pearls and crystals, a tiara that adds to her stately appearance. The elegant princess is dressed in a flowing, floral gown of the 1940s, accessorized with exquisite jewels that complement her regal attire. The use of flowers in the background adds to the historical and romantic atmosphere of the photograph. Princess Paul's sister, the Duchess of Kent, is also a well-known figure in royal circles, making this a significant moment in the history of the Greek and Yugoslavian royal families. The portrait exudes an air of sophistication and grace, a fitting representation of the consort of the Regent of Yugoslavia during a pivotal moment in the country's history." This image is a beautiful study of a royal figure, capturing the essence of elegance and historical significance. The use of the crown, tiara, and jewels adds to the regal atmosphere, while the floral gown and background evoke the charm of the 1940s. This photograph is a testament to the enduring allure of royalty and the beauty of the past.
