An iconic piece of engineering of the Victorian age is turning 130 this weekend.
Saltburn Cliff Lift, which continues to attract tourists from across the region and beyond, first made its 120ft decent from the town to the lower promenade on June 28, 1884.
It is believed to be the oldest working funicular railway in the UK today.
