Little do they know that tragedy will soon strike this very ship. The Atlantic Conveyor was an emblem of resilience during those turbulent times - requisitioned for duty in a conflict far from home. However, fate had other plans as it fell victim to two Argentine air-launched AM39 Exocet missiles on May 25th of that same year.
