Mill Reef was back on his feet again last night after undergoing a four-hour operation on a chipped cannon bone in his left foreleg yesterday afternoon. The successful operation was carried out by Edwin James Roberts, chief orthopaedic surgeon of the Newmarket Equine Research Station, and carried out in a specially-constructed theatre at Ian Baldings Kingslere stables
