Victoria Adams, later to become Victoria Beckham, Melanie C, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell, who left in May 1998.
They released their first single Wannabe on 7th July 1996 and in October they released Say You ll Be There'. Further hits like 2 Become 1 and Spice Up Your Life followed, plus the hit film Spiceworld until December 2000 when the group announced they were taking an indefinite hiatus
