Colour pencil drawing by Nick Langdon entitled TRIBUTE, and depicts the coxswain of Penlee RNLI Patch Harvey, and the RNLB Ivan Ellen in the background. This drawing is a tribute to his courage, leadership and determination to save lives in storm conditions, rescuing a sailing vessel with 8 people on board, that was disabled and taking on water approximately two miles off Porthleven upon 31st October 2022, and justly awarded a silver medal for gallantry and thanks of the Institution inscribed on Vellum. Mechanic Marcel Le Breton, Navigator James Roberts and crew members Will Tremeer, Adrian Thomas, Dan Sell and Trevellyan Worth also awarded Silver Medal Service Certificates for their courage, determination and teamwork under pressure and in extreme conditions. This sort of heroism exemplifies the extreme conditions that RNLI crews have faced in so many rescues, since its inception in 1824.
