St Austell Twinning Association created a float based on European national costumes, at the first torchlight carnival held in St Austell. Organised by the St Austell White Gold Festival committee, they are hoping that it will become an annual event. The 4 mile route took the procession from the town centre to the Cornwall Coliseum where there was a charity firework display. Photographer: Jonathan Barker.
