Harmonica Macrocosmica (1708). This star atlas by the Dutch-German mathematician and cosmographer Andreas Cellarius was first published in 1660. This frontispiece shows the Sun, Moon, and zodiac, with putti bearing cross-staffs and a heliocentric model. Surrounding the muse Urania are (to her right) Tycho Brahe (seated) and Claudius Ptolemy (standing). To her left is Nicolaus Copernicus (seated), and standing behind him are Alfonso el Sabio (left) and Philips Lansbergen (right). The 1708 edition was published in Amsterdam by Petrus Schenk and Gerard Valk. The frontispiece engraver was Frederik Hendrik van den Hove
