EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the brilliant mind of Igor Sikorsky, a Russian-US engineer who revolutionized the world of aviation. Born in Kiev, Russia in 1889, Sikorsky's passion for flight led him to pursue education in St Petersburg and Kiev before emigrating to the United States in 1919. Sikorsky's groundbreaking achievements began with his construction and successful flight of the first four-engined aeroplane. Inspired by this triumph, he went on to establish the Sikorsky Aero Engineering Company in 1923.
