Journey back to April 7, 1911, when Hut Point stood proudly amidst McMurdo Sound, its delicate features delicately captured on canvas. The majestic Mount Erebus looms large in another masterpiece painted at 6 pm on April 2nd that same year. Its towering presence evokes both awe and serenity as day transitions into night. Venture further south with Mount Longstaff's depiction at an astounding altitude of 13, 000 feet - a testament to man's relentless pursuit of discovery. The winter quarters reveal themselves through strokes of paint; McMurdo Sound emerges before our eyes with its icy expanse stretching towards the horizon.
