Soviet born ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev (R) and his dance partner Margot Fonteyn (L) meet with singer Robert Rocca backstage after their gala performance in Nice. Nureyev studied at the Leningrad Choreographic School, and became a soloist with the Kirov Ballet. While touring with the Ballet in 1961, he obtained political asylum in Paris.
