Discolor Greetings Card Collection

Discolor (Pitheciidae) is a family of mammals in the order Primates, and are found in South America and Central America, from Mexico to Bolivia. Discolor primates are arboreal, meaning they spend most of their time in trees. They have long arms and legs for climbing, as well as prehensile tails that help them move through the branches. Discolor primates have thick fur that can range from gray to black or brown, depending on the species. They feed mainly on fruits and insects but will also eat leaves and flowers when available. Discolors live in small groups of up to 15 individuals with a dominant male at the top of the hierarchy, and are active during both day and night, making them diurnal animals, and are important seed dispersers for many plants in their habitats, helping to maintain healthy ecosystems throughout their range.
