Freddie Dixon - 2, 3 and four-wheel TT winner
Freddie Dixon was an unconventional mechanical genius. He designed and built the banking Douglas sidecar on which he won the 1923 Sidecar TT. His solo win came in the 1927 Senior TT on an HRD, and his 4-wheel TT wins came in the 1935/36 Tourist Trophy races, held on the Ards circuit in Ireland. He also won the 1933 Mannin Beg car race on a short circuit around Douglas. His Riley was fitted a carburettor to each cylinder, a fact he kept well-hidden from his competitors

Unconventional genius Freddie Dixon - a true legend in the world of motorsports. This print captures his triumphant moments as a two, three, and four-wheel TT winner. Known for his exceptional mechanical skills, Dixon's innovative designs revolutionized the racing scene. In 1923, he astounded the crowd with his groundbreaking creation - the banking Douglas sidecar. Riding this masterpiece, he clinched victory at the Sidecar TT event. But Dixon didn't stop there; in 1927, he showcased his versatility by winning the Senior TT on an HRD solo bike. However, it was during the Tourist Trophy races held on Ireland's Ards circuit that Dixon truly left an indelible mark. The years 1935 and 1936 witnessed him conquering all odds to claim victory not once but twice in four-wheel TT races. Beyond motorcycles, Dixon also displayed his prowess behind the wheel of cars. In 1933, he emerged victorious at the Mannin Beg car race held around Douglas' short circuit driving a Riley fitted with hidden carburettors per cylinder – a secret weapon against unsuspecting competitors.
