Action of Coliseo. It took place on 23 December de 1895 between the troops led by Martinez Campos and the Cuban led by Gomez and Maceo. This battle was a great triumph for the Cubans. Martines Campos could not contain their advancement, or the burning of the sugar cane fields, for which reason withdrew to Havana.
