Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh (1876-1936) was the third child and second daughter of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. She was a granddaughter of both Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and Tsar Alexander II of Russia. She was married twice; to Ernest Louis, Grand Duke of Hesse, from 1894 until divorcing in 1901, and to Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovich from 1905 until her death. From a private collection
