The Earl and the Girl by Seymour Hicks (30 January 1871 6 April 1949), with music by Ivan Caryll (12 May 1861 29 November 1921). First produced at the Adelphi Theatre, on 10th December 1903. The caption is The Minuet. In the conservatory at Stole Hall, Jim Cheese is in ermine and wearing a coronet because he is impersonating the Earl. His dance partner, Virginia Bliss, stands over him. (Act II). Touring to the Theatre Royal, Brighton, on 31st October 1906. Date: 1906
