The Grave of Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Edward Lawrence (aka Lawrence of Arabia, 1888-1935) at Moreton, Dorset. A British Army officer best known for his liaison role during the Arab Revolt against Ottoman Turkish rule of 1916-1918, Lawrences grave lies not in the Churchyard of St Nicholas itself, but across the village in a small, rectangular cemetery. Date: circa 1920s
