The image is taken from Sir William Jardine's Naturalist's Library: Ornithology, specifically the volume dedicated to Hummingbirds, published in Edinburgh by W.H. Lizars in 1833. The Hispaniolan Emerald is a small, vibrant hummingbird native to the Caribbean island of Hispaniola.
