Originally registered as D-IDOK with Deutscher Luftfahrt-Beratungsdienst GmbH on January 25, 1957, this North American AT-6D Texan underwent a reregistration on August 2, 1957, adopting the new registration number D-FDOK. The Texan, a single-engine, propeller-driven advanced trainer, was a popular choice for military pilot training during the Cold War era.
