Taking a close interest as a JCB digger moves in to create a pond at St Aidens First School, Skelmanthorpe, are these youngsters. The pond is being entered into the Pride in Huddersfield competition to encourage schools to improve the environment. Teacher Mr Tim Brown said money for the project had come from the Nature Conservancy Council, Yorkshire Water and school fund-raising. 3rd October 1988
