Diane Sykes, of Slaithwaite demonstrates the game of bench quoits to women who took part in the new womens day activities at Huddersfield Sports Centre. Assistant manager Peter Clark came up with the project in a bid to introduce women to all the facilities available and widen their circle of friends. Women receive tuition on a variety of different activities, have lunch and then play their chosen sport in the afternoon. Events include fencing, aerobics and team games. The sessions are held every Thursday and last from 10am-3pm. Creche facilities are available. 17th October 1991
