Blind Kirklees councillor Stewart Heppleston (centre) presented a £ 795 cheque to the Royal National Institute of the Blind on behalf of pupils at Outlane Junior School. The children raised the money through donations after hearing a talk on the RNIBs works from appeals officer Mrs Helene Saunders (pictured). She returned to the school to collect the cheque from Clr Heppleston, who is governor of the school. 8th November 1989
