It was regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World until replaced on the list by the Lighthouse of Alexandria. A reproduction of the gate was built in the 20th century as the entrance to a museum that was never completed. Another reproduction can be seen at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin
