This striking photograph captures the likeness of Field Marshal Earl Douglas Haig, KT, GCB, GCVO, KCIE, as depicted in the sculpture "Field Marshal Haig" by Captain Charles Sargeant Jagger, MC ARA. Haig, who served as the British Commander-in-Chief of the British Expeditionary Force during World War I, is shown here in his full military regalia, including his cap and coat, standing proudly on the plinth of his statue. The image was taken after Haig's promotion to the rank of Field Marshal in 1918, making it a significant historical record of one of the most influential figures in British military history.
