Her performance in "La Sylphide" revolutionized the world of ballet, making her a trailblazer for the art form. On the right, the doll of Caroline Brocard is dressed as Ninetta in "The Maid of Palaiseau." Brocard was a French ballerina who rose to fame in the 1830s and 1840s.
