Donna the balloon girl launches a most unusual low-Flying aircraft

Donna the balloon girl launches a most unusual low-Flying aircraft. This is known in the trade as simply a light-weight suit. But in the Ministry of Aviation, which is not really geared to deal with publicity men, it is classified as a low-flying aircraft. Technically, thats what it became the moment it took off from Londons Regent Street, launched with due ceremony by dancer Donna Reading who, in spite of her balloons, happily remained grounded herself. The flying suit is expected to remain aloft for about a week.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we witness the enchanting Donna the balloon girl as she unveils a most extraordinary creation - a low-flying aircraft disguised as a lightweight suit. While it may seem like an unconventional concept to us, within the Ministry of Aviation, unaccustomed to dealing with publicity stunts, this peculiar invention is classified as just that. With great pomp and circumstance, Donna Reading launched this airborne marvel from London's bustling Regent Street. Adorned with vibrant balloons that lent her an air of whimsy, she fearlessly remained grounded herself while her creation soared into the sky. The moment it took flight marked its transformation into a bona fide low-flying aircraft. Anticipation fills the air as experts predict that this remarkable flying suit will remain aloft for an impressive week-long duration. Its sleek design and innovative engineering have captured imaginations across generations and sparked curiosity about its potential applications beyond mere entertainment. This snapshot from February 1967 encapsulates both the spirit of innovation prevalent in the 1960s and Donna's unwavering determination to push boundaries. As we gaze upon this image, we are transported back in time to witness an era where imagination knew no bounds and dreams took flight alongside inventive contraptions like Donna's mesmerizing creation.
