EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the enchanting beauty of the Western Highlands in Scotland, as captured in a joint effort by London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) and London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) back in 1935. The poster transports us to Loch Long, where nature's grandeur unfolds before our eyes. Majestic mountains rise on both sides of the loch, their peaks reaching for the sky. The tranquility of the scene is mirrored perfectly on the calm surface of the water, reflecting every detail with remarkable clarity. In this picturesque setting, a solitary boat glides through the middle of Loch Long, adding a touch of serenity to an already breathtaking landscape. The artist behind this masterpiece is E W Haslehust, an accomplished watercolourist and landscape painter who honed his skills at Slade Art School. His talent shines through as he expertly captures every nuance and hue that makes this corner of Scotland so alluring. Measuring 1016 mm x 1270 mm, this print is not just a visual delight but also serves as a testament to railway travel's ability to transport us to places brimming with natural wonders.
