Bruce Ingram

Sir Bruce Stirling Ingram (1877 - 1963), journalist and newspaper editor. The grandson of the papers founder, Herbert Ingram, he edited the Illustrated London News from 1900 to 1963, the longest tenure of any Fleet Street editor. He also simultaneously edited The Sketch magazine for forty years, the magazine from which this photograph is taken.
