The Fat-tailed Sheep, also known as Mouton a grosse queue, is a breed native to the Middle East and North Africa. The Fat-tailed breed is well-adapted to arid environments and is prized for its high-quality wool and meat. In contrast, the Merino Sheep (Mouton merinos), depicted in the background, is a European breed that originated in Spain. The breed was named after the Merino region in Spain, where it was first discovered.
