White Star Line, RMS Titanic, Harland and Wolff employee
White Star Line, RMS Titanic, rare bookpost real photo postcard of Titanic in Belfast written by a Harland and Wolff employee. ?Dear Mother, At last I have managed to get a photo of the ship in place of the one you have given away. It is not the same ship as the one you gave uncle Charlie but is exactly like her as they are sister ships. This is the one I am working on at the present time. Having a nice comfortable time of it in the Turkish baths, it is to be a fine job when it is finished the fittings are to be inlaid with mother-of-pearl. I just wish you could have a look round it you would see the sight of a life time. I am getting on first rate here and in good health. We are having some very rough weather here now but we cannot grumble as we have had some very nice weather since we came. I am looking forward to Xmas when I hope to see you all again. I hope you are all keeping in the best of health same as it leaves me at present. I will close now hoping you will like the photo. So with love and very best wishes from your affectionate son Arthur?. Date: circa 1911
