The aircraft was initially registered and put into service as a Victa Airtourer 100. However, in February 1973, it was withdrawn from use and underwent a significant transformation. The aircraft was rebuilt as an AESL Airtourer T3A (c/n R72) and was registered as ZK-DLU in April 1973. The Airtourer T3A was a modified version of the original Airtourer 100, featuring improved performance and avionics. Unfortunately, the history of this aircraft took a tragic turn in March 1979 when it crashed at Auckland. Despite its unfortunate end, this photograph captures the beauty and grace of the Victa Airtourer 100 ZK-CHC in its prime.
